The movie leaves the country unnamed...they ...Yeah. The movie leaves the country unnamed...they go out of their way to show Princess Ann in London so as not to confuse her with Princess Margaret, who was going through a "royal crisis" of her own at the time. There is some speculation that Anne's country is Czech, but, again, the country is pointedly not mentioned. It's an interesting concept to think that Hanks' character came from the same country."Yojimbo_5"https://www.blogger.com/profile/12791996320278381516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941126915780070530.post-48166133540906562072024-03-09T07:07:58.432-08:002024-03-09T07:07:58.432-08:00Nice write-up, felt like you were channeling Hepbu...Nice write-up, felt like you were channeling Hepburn's gentleness. Initially I was concentrating on movie details, but left them out and now I realize they were just ephemera. Bobby's Jewish heritage...would have been worth a line or two, but Hitler was taking pains to burnish German's reputation pre-Olympics. I chalk it up to the filmmakers concentrating on Rantz's story—he was the only one left alive to be interviewed for the book—and except for an incident or two, most of the other crew-men were basically background figures in the movie.
